            The article explains how easy it is to purchase a firearm, along with the process of background checking. Gura goes into detail about how vague the form is and how quickly someone can be out the door with a gun in his hand. The second part of the article explains how the state of Maryland can track what guns you buy, at least keeping a basic record of firearms.

            The interview was broadcasted on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight. Morgan’s guest, Ben Shapiro, editor-at-large for Breitbart.com, is arguing against the ban of assault weapons. Shapiro calls Morgan and left wing activists out on using the recent tragedies to promote their agenda. In his defense of the assault weapons ban, Shapiro uses the Second Amendment, saying its purpose was to protect against government tyranny. He then uses examples of democracies from history that have collapsed and become tyrannical.

            The article contains the most recent news about the ongoing Congressional gun debate. The Democrats want to enact a bill that would toughen laws affecting illegal gun sales. The bill would also allow the federal government to keep records of private sales, intruding on American citizen’s privacy. The article continues and says that the bill is likely to be argued well into the future.

            The article features CNN’s Greg Seaby and goes into detail about the state with the strictest gun laws, Maryland. Maryland has passed legislation that bans assault weapons and certain magazine sizes. It also goes into how fingerprint licensing can prevent gun crimes.

            The author describes Adam Lanza’s mental issues and how he became unstable. Lysiak also talks about Lanza’s mother and her stockpile of weapons, which were not locked away. The article then explains possible motives for Adam Lanza’s murderous rampage.

            The authors have complied many useful, relevant facts pertaining to guns and gun control. Everything is covered in the article, to percentages of ownership to political views. It talks about how people obtain guns illegally, the likelihood of someone being a victim of a violent crime, and which political party supports gun rights.
